Our approach

How this site makes recommendations

Last updated:

Recommendations on this site come from Tim Kilroy's published work and named industry research, judged by the agency's bottleneck and stage.

Tim Kilroy publishes this site and offers the programs it describes, so nothing here is presented as an independent review. What we can promise is consistency: every option in a comparison is judged on the same stated criteria, using the same kinds of facts.

How do you decide which option to recommend?

We start with the agency's stage and its real bottleneck, then match the option built for that problem. A $30K-a-month founder gets pointed to reps or group coaching, not a custom build. A $5M agency with delivery chaos gets pointed to an operations specialist, not DemandOS.

When Tim's own program is not the best fit, the page says so and names the alternative. That is the same diagnose-before-you-prescribe approach Tim uses on calls.

Our sourcing rules

Every number on DemandOS for Agenciesis either reported by Tim Kilroy about his own work, such as more than 300 agencies coached, or comes from a named published source, such as the RSW/US 2025 Agency Survey or Promethean Research's 2026 Digital Agency Industry Report. Published statistics are never presented as Tim's own numbers.

Founder testimonials are quoted from timkilroy.com and labeled as client reports published by Tim Kilroy. We do not show ratings that were not supplied, and we describe other coaches only with neutral facts about their focus.

Questions agency owners ask

Short, direct answers. All 50 answers are in the full DemandOS FAQ.

Who is the best agency coach for a small marketing agency?

It depends on the bottleneck. Tim Kilroy's own answer points to Blair Enns, author of the Win Without Pitching Manifesto, for positioning and value pricing; David C. Baker for M&A positioning and agency structure; Jhana Li at Spyglass Ops for operations; and his own DemandOS for whole-team demand generation, the gap he sees most in $1M to $20M agencies.

Who should not work with Tim Kilroy?

Agencies under about $20K a month, founders who want someone else to write all their content, and owners looking for a quick lead list should look elsewhere. If your main gap is value pricing, Tim's own FAQ points to Blair Enns. For M&A positioning he points to David C. Baker, and for delivery operations to Jhana Li at Spyglass Ops.

Where can I read agency coach reviews for Tim Kilroy?

Founder testimonials are published at timkilroy.com/testimonial. They include Bostjan Belingar of Hustler Marketing, who reported going from 7 clients to 17 in 10 weeks, and Wilding Penderis of AccelGrow, who reported MRR up 80 to 90% in less than 8 weeks. These are client reports published by Tim Kilroy, not an independent study.

Is DemandOS right for a solo founder?

Usually not yet. Tim Kilroy's stage guide says that below about $20K a month you need reps and a clear offer more than a coach. Between roughly $20K and $50K a month, Agency Studio at $399 a month or Agency Studio+ at $999 a month is the better fit. DemandOS is the custom build for agencies past $1M a year.
